The day, as it happened.
Heirlooms, not highlight reels.
Nothing staged. Nothing posed. Fine-art wedding films across South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
The films
A wedding film should feel like the day felt. Not louder. Not faster.
I film quietly, from the edges, and edit each film as a story rather than a highlight reel. The kind of film you’ll still sit down and watch in twenty years.
The filmmaker
I’m Liam Roadley. I film weddings under the name Vela Films, across the bay, the hinterland and the Tweed.
I stay back. I let the day unfold. The small moments carry the film.
How it works
You get in touch. Tell me about the day, the place, the people. I reply within two days.
We talk it through. A call or a coffee. No pressure, no scripts.
I film, quietly. You won’t be posed or directed. You’ll forget I’m there.
You receive your film. A film you’ll hand to your children.
Where I film
I’m based on the bay and film the corridor couples love to marry in.
Every season holds a limited number of weddings.
I take on a small number of films each year, so every couple has my full attention. Tell me your date and I’ll let you know if it’s still open.
