The investment

What does a wedding film cost?

Answer three questions and you'll see the market range for the kind of film you're describing – and which of our collections is worth asking about.

How the ranges work

Wedding videography in South-East Queensland falls roughly into three tiers. Entry-level work ($2,500–$4,000) covers short reels and limited hours. The middle of the market ($4,000–$6,000) buys full-day coverage and a properly edited film. Premium fine-art films ($6,500 and up) are built for longevity – graded carefully, sound designed, and edited over weeks rather than days.

The difference between tiers is rarely more hours on the day. It's more considered hours in the edit. Our cost guides for the journal unpack this in detail, and the approach page explains what the craft involves.

Vela Films' own collections are confirmed in writing when you enquire – the names to ask about are on the collections page.
